Conserve Water
Regional Water Conservation
In April of this year, the Sonoma County Water Agency requested a voluntary 10 to 15% reduction in water use from municipal customers and the agricultural community through immediate implementation of voluntary water conservation measures. This voluntary reduction was triggered by low rainfall this season and a reduction of water diversion from the Eel River to the Russian River through the Potter Valley Project.
On May 22nd, the Santa Rosa City Council adopted Santa Rosa Resolution #26841, requesting that customers use water efficiently, eliminate water waste, and reduce less essential uses of water to achieve a voluntary reduction in water use consistent with the Sonoma County Water Agency's request.
